Kirsti studied graphic design and illustration before working as a web and print designer for an internet company. The demise of said company during the dot com crash was the impetus for a freelance career as an illustrator and fine artist. In addition to her commercial work, she has illustrated three picture books — A Pod of Orcas, When They Are Up and Pig in the Middle (fall 2004).

Kirsti sells her paintings and illustrations privately with work residing in collections across Canada.

She lives in Vancouver, BC and doesn't mind the rain one bit.
