A twenty-something physicist, Heather has been fascinated with optics since her childhood days of playing with her father's Televue telescope and Minolta XG-M camera. Photography became a passion in 2002 with the purchase of a digital camera, and she now takes her Canon EOS 300D with her as often as possible. Botanical and travel photography are favorites.
"Photography is my creative release; it is relaxing and fulfilling. Stress and pressure dissolves when I shoot, because I'm focused wholly on the creative aspects of creating a beautiful image. There is so much to see in this world and beyond, and I feel that I should document the world through my eyes. Besides, I love optics and cool toys."
